Goal.com- Everton and Tottenham Hotspur appear to have reached an agreement over the transfer fee for Alan Hutton.
Hutton’s future at White Hart Lane is in doubt due to the abundance of right-backs at the club, and Spurs are thought to be ready to sell him at the right price.
According to the News of the World, Everton had valued Hutton at £5 million, while Tottenham were asking for £9m, and so they have settled for a middle-ground figure of £7m.
Hutton’s first full season at White Hart Lane was plagued by injury, and he only managed eight league appearances.
David Moyes has been keen on this lad for quite some time, it must be the Scottish connection. Hutton is a talented right back who would fill the greatest void in the current lineup. Tottenham now have a plethora of right backs at there disposal, making Hutton expendable. Most recently, the Spurs captured the services of a one Mr. Naughton, a man that Evertonians will not be happy with. Granted Hutton never really got to make an impression at White Hart Lane due to injury last season, there is no doubting the talent that this lad possesses, and would be a great buy at the suggeest fee of 7 million pounds. A back line of Hutton, Jags, Lescott and Baines would be one of the best in the Prem. Hutton, like Baines, is able to push forward in assistance of the winger, and provide support in the attacking third of the pitch. Hutton would make Naughton jealous that he decided not to join the blues, and would be a perfect upgrade at the right back position. Now all we have to do is find a proper holding midfielder…

I reckon Hutton will do well at Everton if he does sign
